Iron Range Carnivorous Snail

Introduction

Macrodelos bishopi is distinguished from Saladelos commixta by the combination of large size, strongly flared body whorl and weak to absent spiral sculpture. Several other species of micro-rhytidids with flared body whorls inhabit the drier scrubs of central Cape York Peninsula, but insufficient material currently exists to warrant their description.
