Introduction

Macrodelos is distinguished from other small sympatric rhytidids by the generally larger size and strongly flared body whorl. It differs from Saladelos by the lack of spiral grooves on the upper surface, and in the presences of a smooth protoconch and a V-shaped rather than cup-shaped umbilicus.
