Diagnosis
Actiniidae with a distinct base, pedal disc narrower than oral disc. Column with adhesive verrucae in its upper part, but without marginal spherules. Fosse absent or deep. Endodermal marginal sphincter restricted, rather weak. Tentacles long and stout, about 48, the inner considerably longer than the outer. Actinopharynx with two siphonoglyphs. Mesenteries in six perfect pairs with two pairs of directives, all fertile. Retractor muscles band-like but restricted. Parietobasilar muscles well developed, forming a fold. Cnidom: spirocysts, basitrichs, microbasic p-mastigophores.
