Family MICROGYNIIDAE Trägårdh, 1942
- Microgyniidae Trägårdh, I. 1942. Microgyniina, a new group of Mesostigmata. Entomologisk Tidskrift 63: 120-133.
Introduction
The family Microgyniidae includes two genera and three described species, all of which occur in rotting wood and leaf litter in Europe and North America (Lindquist et al. 2009). Walter & Krantz (1999) discussed the phylogenetic position of the family, and provided a key to the genera and species. The family is known from Australia only from a record of an undescribed genus from Tasmania (Lindquist et al. 2009).
