Comment: Tyler, M.J. 1968. A taxonomic study of hylid frogs of the Hyla lesueuri complex occurring in north-western Australia. Records of the South Australian Museum 15: 711–727 cited 29 syntypes. Of these, he assigned that listed here to Litoria peronii (Tschudi, 1838), a species that does not occur at the type locality; either the locality is incorrect or the specimen is referrable to Litoria rothi. For his assignment of other syntypes see Litoria coplandi (Tyler, 1968) and Litoria watjulumensis (Copland, 1957).
