Introduction
This species, which was described from Sydney, New South Wales, but subsequently recorded also from SW Western Australia, is unknown to the compiler.

Ecological Descriptors
All stages: phloem feeder.
Diagnosis
Allied to the preceding [Alocephalus ianthe (Kirkaldy)] but darker; the head narrows more towards the anterior margin and is more acute there. Pale testaceous, very closely and finely punctured and freckled with brownish and golden-yellow. Tegmina with brownish veins. Head nearly one-half longer than wide, 3½ times as wide as pronotum. Tegmina subreticulate. Length: 6½ mm. (Kirkaldy 1906).
