Introduction

This unusual leafhopper with its expansive head is not well known in collections despite its distribution including well populated and well collected parts of the country. It has been found under the bark of eucalypt trees in the Sydney region. Only a single male specimen attributable to this species has been found and it differs from the yellow brown females and nymphs by its dark, almost black, colouring.
