London : British Museum of Natural History Part 1 407 pp., 8 pls. [150] [nom. nov. pro Lagena Schumacher, 1817, nec Röding, 1798 [Gastropoda]. Cossmann, 1901, Essais de Paléoconchologie comparée, 4: 51, suggested that the name should be emended to Lathyrolagena, but did not use it as the valid name of a taxon; in fact, he treated Latirolagena as a synonym of Mazzalina and Lathyrolagena is not an available name].

  Type species:

   Buccinum smaragdulum Linnaeus by original designation.
