[273] (Note #519: Lasioceros Bethune-Baker, 1904 was established in the Notodontidae, it was considered in the Aganaidae (as Hypsidae) by Hampson (fide Joicey and Talbot (1917)), returned to the Notodontidae by Joicey and Talbot (1917), then transferred to the Aganaidae (as Hypsidae) by Kiriakoff (1968) and again returned to the Notodontidae by Watson, Fletcher and Nye (1980). The genus was discussed by Joicey and Talbot (1917). Litoscelis Turner, 1944 was established in the Noctuidae. … While M2 in the fore wing arises closer to M3 than to M1, an epiphysis is present in the female and the ocellus is well developed, all features unusual in the Notodontidae, it does have a ventrally directed tympanum and Sc+R1 is approximated to Rs in the hind wing, which are normal in the Notodontidae. The biologies of the species are unknown)
