Species Laminosioptes cysticola (Vizioli, 1868)

Introduction
The name of this species was originally spelled as cisticola (Vizioli 1868, 1869). However, ever since Mégnin (1879, 1880) first used the spelling cysticola, the name has almost always been spelled as cysticola in the formal taxonomic literature. Both spellings are in use in the veterinary literature.
