Introduction

This species, described from the Swan Valley in Western Australia, has also been found in SE Queensland. An examination of the male genitalia is needed to confirm that this species and the type species are both valid.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

General coloration pale yellowish grey sparsely mottled with brown, particularly on pronotum and the tegmen proximally. Crown of head approximately five-sided, the sides of equal length, wider anteriorly, but not apically, than between the eyes. Pronotum with a median longitudinal ridge which is lacking on the declivous portion. Scutellum slightly raised posteriorly. Length ♂ 7–9 mm (Evans 1966)
