Diagnosis

Small eurymelids resembling species of the genus Ipoella in general characteristics and, in particular, in having a single spine mounted on an enlarged base on the hind tibiae. Differing from Ipoella spp. in size, being considerably smaller, in having three instead of more than three veins between R and the costal margin, in having broader subgenital plates with medial, instead of marginal, accessory clasping processes and hind tibiae which as well as having a mounted spine, have also three rows of long, strong, marginal spines (Evans 1977).
