Introduction

This species is described as being dimorphic in coloration by Evans (1973) but males and females in the J.W. Evans collection show considerable variation in these features without necessarily being correlated with sex. There are also specimens from Mt Isa in the Evans collection which may extend the range of the species to Queensland but, unfortunately, they are all females and confirmation of this range extension will require collection of males.
