Type data:
Holotype AM ♂ (coll.: xii.1958, P. Colman), Dungog, New South Wales.
Introduction
This is a very distinctive species with a rich dark brown tegmen bearing a narrow curved pale fascia giving a superficial appearance of Eurymeloides bicincta (Erichson) (Eurymelini). It is presumably named after Phil Colman, the collector of the type series. Phil was an avid collector of insects although working as assistant curator in the Malacology Department of the Australian Museum.

Ecological Descriptors
All stages: gregarious, myrmecophilous, phloem feeder.
Diagnosis
A very distinctive species, eurymeline in appearance. Head, maxillary plates and lora externally ivory; remainder dark purplish brown, excepting around and below the ocelli, brown. Pronotum anteriorly concolorous with head; hind margin broadly white; tegmen dark reddish brown to black, except for a narrow anterior oblique white fascia, a hyaline area close to the costal margin and a smaller hyaline area at apex of claval suture.
