Introduction

This tiny species, with the head and pronotum extending forwards slightly, could easily be mistaken for a member of the Macropsinae. Unlike other species of Ipoini, the subgenital plates have a small accessory process on the ventral margin of the subgenital plates but Evans (1966) considered this not to be homologous with the distinctive accessory styles found in members of the Eurymelini.
