Continental shelf, intertidal, sublittoral.

Extra Ecological Information

Found from low intertidal to depths of 50 m attached to solid substrate, sometimes occurring as crevice fauna. Specimens typically form small colonies of 6–10 individuals, although specimens from Bunker Bay, in WA, were found in larger colonies, consisting of several hundreds of specimens
