Extra Ecological Information

A common pest on various host plants in parts of Asia, several Pacific islands, Japan and Africa; reported on unsuccessful attempts to control this pest in South Africa with the predatory fly Cryptochaetum monophlebi Skuse, introduced from Mauritius and Madagascar.
