Tribe Hydnocerini Spinola, 1844
- Hydnocéroïdes Spinola, 1844.
- Phyllobénides Lacordaire, 1857.
Introduction
Bartlett (2021) proposed the concept of the clerine supertribe Cleritae to accommodate the genera of the newly established Clerini Latreille, 1802 and Hydnocerini Spinola, 1844 (the latter including former Hydnocerinae and Anthicoclerinae) after paraphyly of Clerinae in relation to a separate Hydnocerinae was demonstrated by Gunter et al. (2013) and Gimmel et al. (2019).
Three of the four subtribes of Hydnocerini Spinola, 1844, viz. Anthicoclerina Opitz, 2010, Hydnocerina Spinola, 1844 and Lemidiina Kolibáč, 1998, are represented in the Australian Fauna by one, one and two genera respectively.
