This fairly plain yellow brown species is restricted to the wet tropics of North Queensland.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

Yellow to brownish yellow. Male genitalia with posterior processes of pygophore broad in lateral aspect. Styles with apical process slightly expanded subapically, narrowing thereafter to rounded upturned apex. Aedeagus with socle region moderately long; shaft evenly tapered to acute apex, without processes. Female genitalia with posterior margin of pregenital sternite convex each side of midline. Expanded apex of third valvulae about half length of narrow basal region and extended about one third its length beyond pygophore. Length ♂ 4.5–4.7 mm, ♀ 5.0–5.2 mm (Webb 1983).
