Diagnosis

Oral disc flat, average to 500 mm diameter or more, colour pinkish grey in Moreton Bay specimens; mouth slit-like, to 50mm long. Actinopharynx creamy white with two prominent siphonoglyphs. Tentacles terete, 75 mm long, 5-7 mm at base, with blunt or slightly bulbed tip; inner ones sometimes slightly longer than outer in live animals, considerably longer in preserved animals; lower portion same colour as oral disc, terminal portion pigmented, frequently yellow, green, or white. Column thin, length about equal to pedal disc diameter, generally brightly coloured with endocoelic, translucent verrucae in same colour. Moderate to deep fosse.
