Diagnosis
Small amoebae, monopodial with the form of a slightly flattened cylinder, branched only when changing direction or settling from suspension. Anterior lobopodium usually at least as long as its width. Posterior filaments lacking or temporary. Cysts spherical to ovoid, lacking excystment pores.
