     Holotype AM K40961, KS955 adult, Tamborine Mtn, QLD.
    Paratype(s) SAMA N198165 adult (in same tube, no locality); AM K41452, KS956 3 adult; AM K40963, KS958 adult; AM K40964, KS959 adult; AM K41457, KS957 2 adult
    Comment: the existence of several specimens, including juveniles, is mentioned by Rainbow and Pulleine (1918), but no male is discussed. Gray (2010) does not list the SAMA male and female listed here (information from Main, 1985).
  • Anepsiada ventricosa Rainbow, W.J. & Pulleine, R.H. 1918. Australian trap-door spiders. Records of the Australian Museum 12: 81-169 [24 Dec. 1918] [167-168 fig 120 (pl. 14)] [NB Gray (2010:377-378) reports that re-examination of the type female suggests that it may be misplaced here and its status should be reviewed when females belonging to the lamingtonensis group are known].
    Type data:
     Holotype AM K40965 adult, Cloncurry, QLD; incorrect (published) record, emended to Tamborine Mtn (according to old register data) by M.R. Gray.
