Syntype(s) BMNH ♂, Brisbane, Australia (the Felders gave Australia as type locality; Waterhouse (1937: 128) suggested Brisbane as type locality; Waterhouse (1936: 7) stated that type had a Brisbane label)
Comment: the Felders in the original description did not indicate the number of specimens described; Waterhouse, G.A. 1936. [unpublished personal manuscript of observations made at the BMNH (Papilionidae, Pieridae, Danainae)]. Photocopy located at ANIC, Canberra, ACT. 29 pp. [7] (stated that the type was in the Rothschild collection).
