Comment: Rothschild in the original description mentioned many specimens and also mentioned a type; Parsons, M.J. 1998. The Butterflies of Papua New Guinea; their systematics and biology. Comment: the syntypes of mynion are those paratypes of ligatus which came from Queensland.
