Diagnosis
Carapace trapezoidal to subquadrate; broadest across exorbital angles, with front and orbits occupying entire anterior margin; front narrow to moderate in width; orbits in form of long narrow grooves; eyestalks long to very long, sometimes extending well beyond edge of carapace; corneas well developed and pigmented. Male abdomen with base of third segment entirely covering sternum between last pair of legs.
