Introduction
Gastrocopta bannertonensis is basically a southern coastal species ranging fom Victoria to Western Australia. There is one isolated record from Central Australia. It is distinguished from the sympatric G. margaretae by its slightly larger shell which has the two palatal barriers parallel.

Found in wood patches around temporary pools and among bushes.
Diagnosis
Shell tiny, translucent drab white, pupiform, smooth; aperture quadrate to subquadrate with six barriers: a prominent parieto-angular, a horizontal to slanted columellar, parallel lower and upper palatals and a basal tubercle; height to 3.2 mm.
