Holotype AM ♂ (coll.: xii.1969, J.G. Brooks), Cairns, Queensland.
Introduction
This relatively large and elegant species is restricted to coastal areas of North Queensland.

Ecological Descriptors
All stages: phloem feeder.
Diagnosis
Cupreous brown. Face brown, black in centre. Pronotum cupreous. Scutellum dull brown. Length ♂ 10 mm. The male genitalia of this species closely resemble those of the type species but it is considered that the aedeagus is sufficiently different to justify the recognition of the separate species (Evans 1981).
