Introduction
This species is found along the eastern coastline from Koumala on the Central Mackay Coast of Queensland to the Upper Allyn region of the New South Wales north coast.

Ecological Descriptors
All stages: phloem feeder.
Diagnosis
Brownish yellow with posterior region of scutellum, apical half of clavus adjacent to suture and apical half of subcostal region of forewing, pale yellow; marked with brown on costal margin of forewing at midlength, ovipositor and variably on dorsum of abdomen; veins of forewing concolorous with wing or brown, some veins often scarlet. Male genitalia with subgenital plate fairly broad. Styles with apical process claw-like apically; preapical lobe very large. Aedeagus with socle region short; shaft sharply tapered apically with two pairs of long, ventrally directed processes subapically adjacent to posterior margin. Female genitalia with posterior margin of pregenital sternite more or less straight medially. Expanded apex of third valvulae slightly less than half length of narrow basal region and extended about one third its length beyond pygophore. Length: ♂ 4.1–4.5 mm; ♀ 4.4–4.6 mm (Webb 1983).
