Introduction
Most authors credit this name to Burmeister (1838) but Burmeister credits it to Germar. However, no record of Germar having published the name appears to exist. The species is smallish and recorded from scattered locations in SE Australia between SE Queensland and western Victoria. Stevens (1985) recorded it from Eucalyptus viminalis Labill.
