Type species:
Eurymela terminalis Walker, 1851 by monotypy.
Introduction
This monotypic genus is characterised by the presence of a curved spur on the front femur and three spurs on the mid femur. The purpose of these spurs is not known. In addition, the accessory process of the subgenital plate is dorsal rather than ventral as in all other Eurymelini. The only species is widespread in inland areas of Australia from SE Queensland to the Swan Valley in Western Australia.

Diagnosis
This genus contains a species very similar in general appearance to insects belonging to the genus Eurymeloides. The head, in profile, is almost flat. The tegmina have large, distinct apical cells and a well developed appendix and the front and middle femora have strong outwardly curved spines, the front with one and the middle with three spines. The hind tibiae have two distinct spurs on the apical half and several feeble ones towards the base. The male genitalia have very short parameres and the subgenital plates have a style arising from the dorsal edge and not from the ventral edge as in all previous genera (Evans 1933).
