Previously known from Sri Lanka, India, Thailand, West Malaysia, South Korea, Taiwan and the Philippines. Hancock & Royer (2018) report of one specimen from Stratford (Cairns, QLD), whose presence in Australia is considered unlikely to be due to artificial introduction.
