Holotype BMNH (Gerstmeier & Seitner (2013) note that "In stating "the specimen before me", Blackburn (1900: 121) implied that the nominal species-group taxon, Natalis debilis, was based on a single specimen. The 'type' located in the Natural History Museum, London (BMNH) is therefore considered the holotype, fixed by monotypy (ICZN 1999: Article 73.1.2)."), SA, Basin of Lake Eyre.
