Introduction

Eulaelaps oudemansi Turk, 1945 and E. stabularis Koch, 1839 are very similar and difficult to distinguish (Uchikawa & Rack 1979; Kohn & Šterba 1986). It is possible that many specimens in collections have been misidentified.
