PHILOPTERIDAE: Esthiopterum forficuloides (Neumann, 1890) [listed by Thompson & Plomley (1938) (op. cit. p. 115) from Psephotus varius Clark, 1910 is a nomen dubium and probably a straggler or contaminant (Price & Clayton, 1983: 66) as Psittaconirmus forficuloides (Neumann, 1890)]

PHILOPTERIDAE: Esthiopterum trabeculum (Piaget, 1885) [listed by Thompson & Plomley (1938) (op. cit. p. 115) from Probosciger aterrimus (Gmelin, 1788) is a straggler or contaminant from a hornbill (Bucerotidae) (Hopkins & Clay (1952: 63) as Buceronirmus trabeculus (Piaget, 1885))]
