Comment: Two specimens were available to Kertész (1899) when the species was described; Duda (1924) was apparently able to examine both, and he offered some diagnostic information. Tsacas (1983), working in Paris, was sent only one specimen for study and was unable to establish the condition or continued existence of the second. Nevertheless, he nominated it lectotype. Máca (2003) revised the genera previously classified in the genus Amiota, including Erima, and offered compelling reasons for preserving the original generic status.Subsequent designation references:
