Diagnosis
Scapus with numerous tenaculi; distinct chitinising of tenaculi ectoderm. Tentacles about 44, hexamerously arranged. Sphincter mesogleal, thin, forming small muscle meshes, reticular in uppermost part, alveolar in the lower part. Two siphonoglyphs with directives. 24 pairs of mesenteries, six pairs perfect and fertile; some imperfect mesenteries provided with filaments and acontia, all imperfect mesenteries sterile. Macrocneme retractors circumscribed with highly branched folds, parietal muscle witih thick mesoglea and course folds. Parietal muscles of microcnemes agree with those of macrocnemes, but more branched folds.
