Introduction

The only representative of this genus in Australia was originally described from Binalong, New South Wales, but is certainly an introduction from Europe where it is widespread on apples and related species.

Diagnosis

The only Australian representative can be distinguished from the only other Typhlocybini species in Australia by colour, Edwardsiana froggatti (Baker) being yellow and it also feeds on apples and similar Rosaceae. The other species is green and restricted to elms, Ulmus spp (Ulmaceae).
