Introduction

Echotrida strangeoides is distinguished from sympatric rhytidids by the sculpture of strong continuous spiral grooves on both upper and lower shell surfaces. Animal orange-grey.

Ecological Descriptors

Dry vine thickets, rainforest, under litter, under logs.

 

Diagnosis

Shell small, yellow, subdiscoidal with low spire; protoconch with incised spiral grooves on the latter part, teleoconch sculpture of strong continuous spiral striae on upper and lower shell surfaces of the body whorl; umbilicus wide and deep, V-shaped; diameter 9mm.
