Species Dolomedes instabilis L. Koch, 1876
- Dolomedes instabilis Koch, L. in Koch, L. & Keyserling, E. [1871–1883] 1876. Die Arachniden Australiens. Nürnberg : Bauer & Raspe Vol. 2. [863 pl. 74 fig. 1].
Type data:
Holotype whereabouts unknown ♀ adult, Caigan, near Mudgee, NSW. - Dolomedes habilis Hogg, H.R. 1905. On some South Australian spiders of the family Lycosidae. Proceedings of the Zoological Society of London 1905: 569-590 [588].
Type data:
Syntype(s) SAMA 2♀ adult, Gilbert River, Riverina; whereabouts unknown 1 ♀, as other syntypes
Comment: "Riverina" suggested to be a mistranscript of Riverton (SA), the area in which the collector lived (Hirst, 1988); the original labels do not give a state, NSW was given by Hogg, apparently based on Riverina, but there is no Gilbert River in that area.
