Diagnosis

Frons with black hairs medianly and silver pruinescence in lateral margins. Flagellum onionshaped. Hairs on face black. Proboscis about 0.3 x length of fore tibia. Wings broad; i-r cross-vein absent, spur on R4 present, cells cup and a1 broad, convex; halter knob yellow. Integumental colour of legs dark brown-black. Abdomen black with narrow, apical yellow bands on tergites 1-7. Body length 12 mm.
