Diagnosis
Frons with black hairs medianly and silver pruinescence on lateral margins. Flagellum onion-shaped. Hairs on face blonde. Proboscis about 0.2 x length of fore tibia. Wings narrow; without i-r cross-vein, short spur vein on R4 present, cells cup and a1 broad; halter knob dark brown. Integumental colour of legs mostly dark brown-black; proximal quarter to half of femora yellow, proximal half to third tibia yellow, occasionally tibia entirely yellow. Integumental colour of abdomen black with narrow, apical yellow bands on tergites 1-7.
