Diagnosis
Frons with black hairs medianly and silver pruinescence in lateral margins. Flagellum conical. Hairs on face black. Proboscis about 0.3 x length of fore tibia. Wings narrow; without i-r cross-vein, long spur on R4 present, cells cup and a1 narrow; knob dark brown (faded to yellow-brown in holotype). Integumental colour of legs mostly dark brown-black, proximal third of femora yellow; proximal half of tibia yellow. Integumental colour of abdomen black with narrow, apical yellow bands on tergites 1-3, very narrow on tergites 4 and 5. Body length 6-7 mm.
