Diagnosis
Frons with black hairs medianly and silver pruinescence in lateral margins. Flagellum onionshaped. Hairs on face black. Proboscis about 0.3 x length of fore tibia. Wings hyaline; spur on R4 present, long; without i-r cross-vein, cells cup narrow, cell a1 extremely narrow and short, vein Al reaching wing margin not much beyond level of humeral cross-vein. Halter knob dark brown on anterior half, yellow on posterior half. Integumental colour of legs mostly dark brown-black, proximal quarter of femora and proximal two-thirds of tibiae light brown. Integumental colour of abdomen black.
