Diagnosis
Frons entirely covered with silver pruinescence and sparse, erect blonde hairs. Flagellum onion-shaped. Hairs on face blonde. Proboscis about 0.25 x length of fore tibia. Wings narrow; without i-r cross-vein and spur on R4, cells cup and a1 broad; halter knob brown anteriorly, yellow posteriorly. Integumental colour of legs mostly light brown, darker on central three-quarters of femur. Integumental colour of abdomen black with apical yellow-brown bands on tergites 1-8.
