Lectotype BMNH ♀ (Walker's syntype series contained specimens from Dr Hooker's collection and Mr Smith's collection from Van Diemens Land and from Captain J.C. Ross from New Zealand; Kimmins said the specimen from New Zealand was a misidentification and selected a female from Mr Smith's collection as a type), TAS (as Van Diemen's Land).
