Diagnosis
This genus can be distinguished by the relatively small and strongly protruding eyes in facial aspect, the wrinkled scutellum, the three closed subapical cells of the forewing, the male subgenital plates with numerous short stout setae and the unusually shaped aedeagus (Webb 1983).
