Christmas Island Shrew

 

Introduction

'[A]lmost certainly extinct' (Meek in van Dyck & Strahan 2008: 419). However, the Christmas Island Shrew was treated at species level by Ruedi (1995), and confirmed by Eldridge et al. (2009) on the basis of molecular data.
