Ecological Descriptors
All stages: sap-feeder.
Diagnosis
Closely allied to [C. angustifrons], but smaller, and the upper apical angle of tegmina distinctly acute and more prominent; the anterior carina of vertex truncate, and more pronounced (it is feeble and excavately angulate in [C. angustifrons]). The veins are not, or very slightly, marked with sanguineous. Length: 5 1/3 mill., 3 7/8 mill. (Kirkaldy 1906).
The shape of the sutural angle of the tegmen is the easiest way of telling the two species apart. In this species it is acute but in C. angustrifrons it is slightly obtuse.
