Holotype QM QM-G329570 2.5cm long in life; preserved in formalin (commensal on Sarcophyton sp. (Octocorallia, Alcyoniidae)), off Townsville in June 2005.
Paratype(s) SAMA SAM-H1596 1 specimen, 2cm long in life; preserved in formalin, (same data as holotype); SAMA SAMXH00437 two specimens in alcohol, (same data as holotype).

Diagnosis
Coeloplana on Sarcophyton host; with brown translucent body with whitish ectodermal fine meshwork pattern, appearing to the unaided eye as a whitish body with hundreds of tiny brown dots; in live animals, papillae about 20, cylindrical, in longitudinal X-pattern through the statocyst; or in preserved specimens over 100, in 16 rows, in three sizes, of two types; with four-lobed statocyst palps.
