Holotype CUMZ I.32945 colony portions on five pieces of shell in alcohol (The homonym Clavularia flava May, 1898 is the type species for the genus Sansibia Alderslade, 2000).

Hard bottom, marine, sessile.
Systematics
This is not a true Clavularia species and the correct identity of this taxon is unknown.
